The Power Of Stream Teams: Mixer Tips:
In this article, I want to talk about the benefits of joining Stream Teams.
Starting on a new platform like Mixer was scary.
I had no idea what I was getting into or if it was the right move away from Twitch.
After hearing about it on Professor Broman’s podcast, I researched the platform.
As soon as I saw it I loved the look.
After further research, the platform looked young and promising. It felt like a perfect move for a new streamer such as myself.
The fact that I could talk to my viewers in real time via FTL was enticing.
I also noticed how easy it was to support fellow streamers. Mixer has an easy system to host and/or raid other channels. I felt this was perfect to showcase other content that jived with my own channel. It helped my community see all the other great creators out there.
What I did not expect was the dynamic that being on Stream Teams would add for me.
A Passion Manifests:
A long time ago when I watched my first stream on Twitch, I knew it was something I wanted to do. There was nothing better than playing games while meeting amazing people.
I love the space that I am in. Mixer allows me to keep one of my fondest past times going. It also helps with building an incredible community. Not to mention, making real friendships from all over the world.
The community is much more prominent when you are part of Stream Teams.
Enter Stream Teams:
Stream Teams are groups of streamers that build a community around similar interests. It is hands down my favorite part of being on Mixer.
I tweeted a thread a little bit ago. It said that co-streaming with people is the best way to truly not give a shit about numbers. When you are with people having a great time, you don’t think about anything else. You are having genuine fun with genuine people.
The Stream Teams I am apart of:
I am honored to be on all these teams. Streaming with these people has made the grind that much better. I am also able to call these people friends.
GuardianCon is around the corner and The Positive Pineapples are having a meetup. They are all getting together to share good times with one another. Also, to meet the Stream Team in real life.
I am pretty crushed I will not be able to make it this year. Hanging out with this crew is something I am dying to do. Real life stuff at the moment prohibits me from going this year.
Know that I look forward to meeting you all in person one day!
The Benefits Of Joining A Stream Team:
I felt this was a good article to write because of people complaining about growth on their platform.
A Stream Team where you commit your time to not only your own channel but the team as a whole can help this tenfold.
I said in my other article that too many people focus on the money side of streaming. They see people who have made it and where they are today. Streamers are discounting all the hard work these people put in up to where they are today
Stream Teams not only help you meet amazing people, they can help you find people to co-stream with. An amazing feature of the co-stream is that all the chatrooms merge into one.
If you have 4 people streaming together you now have 4 chatrooms mingling with each other. People meet new people, they find out about you, and the feature feeds into itself.
Utilizing every tool Mixer gives to us is the only way to set ourselves up for success on the platform.
Stream Teams help get the focus on developing not only our own channel but many channels. If you raise everyone around you then we all grow together.
Your own growth will happen faster and you have also benefited other people in the community: Streamers and Viewers alike.
Community:
The number one thing to focus on when building a personal brand is the community.
The success of a brand is dictated by the market – the audience.
Being a part of great teams is a must for people on Mixer.
I have met the most amazing people in such a short time.
Make sure to take time to research the teams you apply for. Figure out if they coincide with the brand and community you are trying to build.
Becoming best friends with people will not happen overnight. If you give your time and energy to show people who you are – you can meet the most influential people in your life.
If you do this, not only will your own brand grow, but the platform as a whole.
