Time: It Is Always Passing Whether We Create Or Not

Time:

Time is always passing.

Some days are better than others.

There are days where I don’t want to create anything and I question all of it.

I haven’t streamed.

Haven’t written.

And haven’t recorded.

All of the past work I have done hasn’t gotten any more views or listens.

I always say, “We pause but we don’t stop!”

That is because regardless of what may be happening in my brain at the moment, I know I will never stop.

A newborn baby is the greatest gift in the world. It is also the toughest challenge you will face.

Between a new job and a new baby, I have not gotten anything done in the past month.

I have had a lot of time to think about what I had been doing up until now. A part of my brain wants to just focus on the new real-life obstacles. The majority of my brain tells me the ships are sailing on my dreams as I procrastinate because I am not mentally capable of working for myself after working for everyone else.

My time and attention are out of my hands for the first time in my life and I don’t know how to process the whole thing.

If I practiced what I preached, I would be expressing gratitude for all the blessings in my life. My life is not hard or bad in any sense of the words. It is actually very very incredible.

But it is funny what happens in your brain when dreams start to crumble in front of you.

No matter what I do, I can’t get over the fact that I am losing it all while gaining it all.

It’s a bad conundrum for me but here’s the thing:

“This too shall pass…”

As long as we make the correct decision – the decision to always move forward – there is no reason to stress out over a small fraction of time being devoted to things that are not furthering your dreams.

When you are deprived of things that give you oxygen, you feel depressed, stressed, or filled with anxiety.

But what about the things that bring you life?

I always talk about being a content creator and wanting to make something of myself through that medium.

What about creating life? What about creating a son or a daughter?

My perspective gets messed up a lot of the time but I know it’ll come back full circle.

Instead of having all the time in the world to create after work hours, I had to figure out pockets in my day where I could create.

That is exactly how I am writing this article. I do not take my downtime to work. Instead, I fall victim to the laziness trap.

Recently, I haven’t been falling in that trap as much, but I have been reading a lot more.

The problem is that even something as great as reading can hinder your creative process.

Instead of working on something you put it on the back burner with distractions. Yes, even reading too much can be a distraction.

We could feel that we are accomplishing something because our time is devoted to “good habits.”

Procrastinating with “Good” Habits:

The truth is we are still procrastinating. This is a pitfall I have fell into recently.

I have been parenting, learning a new career, and reading on my downtime.

Time is few and far between to create, but the time is there.

I am going to start working on some new stuff. The way I am going to create will be different but outcomes will be the same.

I am going to:

Write articles on my phone. I do not care how long it takes to get done, I am just going to do.
Record the audio/video for The Seftimor Podcast.
Stream when I can

Writing:

Writing has always been my first passion.

Before the podcasts, videos, or streaming – I wrote.

It lights my soul on fire and it documents my journey.

Without the art of writing, I would not be able to be typing up this awesome article on my phone for all of you.

Regardless, it is the time we spend doing what we should be doing rather than what we want.

Life is a journey until the day we die. We may never make it. It is an always evolving world and we can either grow with it or perish against it.

Today, think about what you are putting off and what your soul is telling you to do.

Content Creation always sounds fun and simple in your head, but it is hard work, just like anything else worth doing in the long run.

You may have woken up today and thought the world was against you.

I am your proof there is a way. As of right now, NONE of the chips are stacked in my favor. I can bitch and moan about it or I can figure out a way to get it done, even against all odds.

The victories come to the ones most dedicated.
